www.centrebet.com.au – Andrew Symmonds is set to make his long awaited return to Australian cricket after being sidelined due to a momentary lapse in which he skipped training to enjoy a days fishing in Darwin.

Dropped for Australia’s tour of India, Symmonds has since been under the close observation of sports psychologist Dr. Phil Jauncey.

However Jauncey was reluctant to promise any miracle comeback stating that clearly the Australian all-rounder had some issues to deal with and that although he had shown sign of progressing, may still have a few creases to iron out.

Test opener and long time friend Matthew Heyden rushed to the defense of Symmonds declaring that Australia is without a doubt a much better team when Andrew Symmonds is playing.

Many would argue that there has been a certain something missing from the game while controversial cricketer with the dreadlocks and hulking figure has been sitting on the sidelines.

Three years ago he rocked up to training in England still drunk and was dropped from the Ashes Tour but since then has showed remarkable poise with the bat, clobbering hapless bowlers all around the park and igniting his teammates in the field with his sheer brilliance.

Symmonds is under no pretenses that his spot in any side is a certainty, promising to wear the baggy green cap that he worked so hard for with pride.

Should selectors name Symmonds in the first eleven he will make his comeback at his homeground, the Gabba, much to the delight of his many loyal fans.
