The Geelong Cats and the St Kilda Saints look set for a top of the table show down which could be the game of the season and rival last year’s show down between the Hawks and the cats which didn’t disappoint fans.

Both teams are still undefeated with St Kilda taking top spot honours with an incredible percentage of over two hundred which is arguably one of the best starts to a season in the games long history.

After thrashing the magpies in the return to Monday night football, the Saints backed up just six days later against a hot and cold Essendon outfit that managed to give the Saints one of their toughest tests of the season.

The game went for all four quarters before the Saints kicked away in the final term, their running through the midfield proving the difference.

A depleted North Melbourne had the unenviable task of travelling to Skilled Stadium to take on the Cats and they were (for want of better words) mauled by a rampant Cats outfit that is still without red hot Brownlow favourite Gary Ablett.

Despite a brave showing from the Kangaroos in the first quarter, Geelong piled on the goals before the main change and ran away with the match to win by over ten goals.

In a first for the AFL since 2002, Andrew Dimetriou has voiced plans to move the round 14 fixture from Etihad Stadium to the MCG in order to accommodate the extra forty thousand fans who are likely to turn out to see them go head to head.
